2027 Radar Lyric Alloy Women's Slalom Waterski

Smooth by nature. Built to move freely. The 2027 Radar Lyric Alloy is a women's-specific slalom ski based on Radar's proven Senate platform, combining a supportive shape with a lighter, softer carbon construction designed specifically around female skiers.

The Senate shape has become one of the most widely used platforms in Radar's range because of its ability to combine genuine slalom performance with a degree of support and accessibility. The Lyric takes that proven concept and tunes the construction specifically for women, making the ski easier to roll, load and move through the turn.

The Lyric adds 2/10" of width between the tunnel and the edge bevel compared with the Vapor shape. Rather than simply making the whole ski wider, Radar retains the important active wet surface of the Vapor, allowing the Lyric to maintain the roll, grip and turning characteristics of a performance slalom ski.

The result is a ski that rides with speed and stability at slightly slower boat speeds, while remaining light, nimble and easy to move on. Earlier, more consistent roll into the turn combines with strong direction through the finish to create a smooth and connected ride.

Built on the Senate Platform

The Lyric sits within Radar's Senate Series, using the same fundamental approach that has made the Senate platform so versatile.

Radar starts with the Vapor shape and adds 2/10" of width between the tunnel and edge bevel. This additional surface area provides extra lift and support at slower speeds, while keeping the active wet surface closely related to the Vapor.

This is important because it means the Lyric isn't simply a wide ski. It retains the ability to roll naturally onto edge, grip through the turn and generate speed across the wakes.

Performance Width

The additional surface area is designed to provide support without compromising the ski's performance characteristics.

The Performance Width creates additional lift beneath the ski, allowing it to ride higher on the water and perform efficiently at slightly slower speeds. At the same time, the tunnel and bevel geometry remain intact, allowing the ski to roll, grip and drive through the turn.

This gives the Lyric its distinctive combination of stability and performance: easy to move on when you need support, but fast and responsive when you commit to the turn.

Women's Specific Carbon Construction

The Lyric Alloy uses a lighter carbon layup specifically tuned for female skiers. Radar describes the Lyric construction as 15% softer than its Senate counterpart, reducing the input required to roll the ski into the turn and establish angle across the wakes.

This is an important distinction from simply choosing a smaller version of a men's ski. The construction has been tuned so that the skier can more easily load and exploit the flex, allowing the ski to respond naturally without requiring excessive force.
