The new ReactR from Pyranha kayaks represents a leap forward in kayak development from a brand that is already regarded as a trend setter. There's so much to discuss and we're happy to coin the term 'slip tail creeker'. The low volume and highly rockered stern isn't aimed to get you vertical. Instead, the design focusses on two things, a dry bow and hyper maneuverable stern. The outfitting sees a ground up redevelopment too, with key features including multi directional thigh grip adjustment, single wing nut seat position changes, and a shoulder pad. Yes, you read that correctly!
Looking at the ReactR's hull tells you everything you need to know. It's a statement of intent that's unlike anything that came before. Pyranha have spent significant time developing a hull with a perfectly positioned pivot point between two planing surfaces. The paddler can therefore instantly change the trim, requesting that the kayak sits on either the bow or stern planing section. Combined with the width, all 70cm of it, this creates a boat that is both stable when stomping drops but also skips like nothing else. Trim back and the bow instantly jumps from the water surface, allowing you to ride more easily over features that you may have chosen to punch through previously.
The low volume stern is a masterpiece. Enough volume has been removed to enable it to slip effortlessly from side to side when changing line. This is very different from the vertical sidewall seen on traditional creekers, which can be pushed around by lateral flows. However, the ReactR retains sufficient stern volume to be confidence inspiring. It's a lightweight sports car that transforms into a monster truck with simple trim changes.
OUTFITTING
The new Elite outfitting needs further explanation and this has been a ground up development for the ReactR. Excluding a limited number of parts everything is new. The highlights include:
a) The hull stiffener is bonded to the hull with an innovative adhesive that was specifically developed for this task.
b) This allows the seat to be adjusted fore and aft using a single wing nut between your legs.
c) The thigh grips are moulded, with an updated hooker plate fitted as standard. These offer a much larger range of adjustments compared with previous versions.
d) The seat is completely revised and features a new pad. Again, you are able to add seat shims in order to select a height position that suits your build and paddling style.
e) The backrest is refined and completely new in shape. It wraps further around the body to eliminate pinch and pressure points. Perhaps most notably, the backrest adjustment comes in the form of an alloy cleat. Unlike other brands using similar designs, you pull the cord towards you to add tension. This has been inspired by the world championship winning Ripper-Evo, creating a much more effective angle of pull. Maintenance, especially if used in salt water is also reduced.
f) Pyranha have further finessed the hip pads. These now feature two cam straps for securing. In doing so, there is less movement and the paddler will experience greater control.
g) Hate carrying kayaks? Fear not, the ReactR features integrated shoulder and hip pads. Carrying when paddling laps at your favourite rapid will now feel a pleasure rather than a chore.
FEATURES

- The “Pivot Hull Philosophy” allows the paddler to take complete control of the boat’s direction at any speed.
- The ReactR’s tail design has been honed to stay on top of the water when heading downstream, but enable rapid direction changes through low-angle pivot turns while keeping your weight over the front and your forward momentum strong.
- An innovative rocker profile takes sidewall pressure away from the ends of the boat and allows you to make last second adjustments and carve into eddies.
- The bow profile gives smoother water entry, a lifting point closer to the paddler for more horizontal skips, and allows cross currents to pass under the boat without knocking you off your line.
- The ReactR’s hull efficiently glides out of features and retains upstream speed in ferries and attainments, yet still gets out of your way quick during boofs.
- The dynamic bow captures the flow running over it and directs it under the boat for increased speed and optimal planing performance.
- Pyranha’s new, Elite outfitting system has been redesigned from the hull up to give you optimal control of the ReactR’s progressive hull design.

Your Delivery
The range of products we offer means there is nothing standard about our deliveries. We use a range of couriers, including DHL, UPS and Royal Mail. While the site may state 3-5 days, most in stock items going to mainland UK locations will arrive at your door in 1-2 days.
On receipt of an order, the relevant specialist staff member will contact you to confirm the stock situation and expectation around shipping time. This gives you a direct contact for any requests and advice that might be helpful.
When courier services are used, you can expect tracking information and estimated arrival times to be communicated via email. However, always feel free to contact our staff at any point should you require assistance.

Receiving your order
When you receive your item(s), please check to see if there is any damage. Once the drivers manifest has been signed it voids any insurance claim. If you are unsure, please sign as "damaged", which will allow you/us to make a claim later on if required.
If you suspect that your goods are damaged please take the time to check the items with the driver present or refuse the package and ask the courier to return to sender.

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you might feel the need to arrange a return. If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind, or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase (subject to our product exclusions). The process for both in store and mail order purchases can be seen below:
Postal Returns Procedure
If posting your return please email [email protected] for approval, as well as any advice required prior to sending. You would then simply ship the unwanted goods to our 152 Leeds Road address, including a copy of your original receipt and information on the required course of action.
Purchases from store
If you bought goods from our Heckmondwike based store you may, at our discretion, be able to return items within 30 days for a full refund, as long as they have not been used and still have the original labels attached. Please bring the items back to the shop, together with your receipt. Any refund can only be made using the same method as the original transaction.
Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.
Product Exclusions
There are some exclusions to our Returns Policy, as detailed below:
- Personalised or customised items, such as custom canoes, made to measure drysuits etc.
- Gift vouchers cannot be returned
- Products that have been opened or unsealed cannot be returned
- Products returned in an unsatisfactory condition cannot be returned
- Products which have been damaged in return transit due to insufficient packaging cannot be returned
This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Who can apply for finance?
