Description

The Custom Thruster 4 takes inspiration from Goyas world beating Custom Quad. 2 years of development has gone into now the 4^th generation of this board and it’s had its biggest changes so far. A faster and sharper tail rocker combined with a slightly longer and wider outline this Gen 4 Custom Thruster offers more speed and stability than previous generations. With more curve in the outline it tightens the turning radius meaning the board turns on a dime, more like the Custom Quad but with all the other benefits of a Thruster. In the right hands the Thruster is just as radical as the quad but slightly more forgiving, making it an all-world wave board that has huge range.

Something ourselves and Goya have found is that a lot of sailors find the Custom Thruster a great option for high wind bump & jump as well as wave sailing. With this feedback Goya have also improved the low speed characteristics, improving the early planing with a lower tail rocker, MFC carbon fins and comfier deck shape.

Goya have had a large focus on weight reduction with their boards. Reducing the weight gives the board a livelier feel, increases performance and reduces drag. The reduction in weight makes the boards manoeuvre easier with less swing weight, great for aerial moves and wave riding. The reduction in weight has been achieved by implementing custom US fin boxes which are 50% lighter, meaning 100gs per fin box = 400g savings on the Quad. The deck sticker has been removed which reduces the weight but also improves the sustainability with less plastic involved.

Custom Thruster Shape Details

Outline – More curved outline which compliments the thruster set up and improves the turn ability of the board. Slightly wider and longer which also helps with stability.

Rocker – Higher nose entry with lower tail rocker. Early planing with increased speed.

Rails – Thicker/fuller at the front and thinning from the mast track backwards to reduce drag. Thruster optimised.

Volume – Flatter and more stable standing area for non planing with an increased dome shape between straps for improved response when driving through the board. A thinner profile than the Quad due to a larger outline.

Bottom – V at the front going into double concave with a single concave at the tail. Improving board speed and forgiveness.

Custom Thruster Key Features

Construction – More custom than ever. A combination of Carbon and S-Glass offering the lightest construction whilst maintaining strength. PVC Sandwhich layout offers the best possible strength to weight ratio.

Fin Box – Custom Quatro Windsurf US Boxes, 100gs lighter and stiffer than previous models. 300gs to be saved against previous Custom Thruster boards.

Mast Track – 7 inch mast track to eliminate wrong positioning of the rig. Another 100g reduction in weight.

MFC Carbon Thruster Fins – A 1mm channel has been added at the tip of the fin to minimse drag and help with release. A carbon construction allows for consistent flex and torsion as well as quick response. This all helps with top speed and early planing.

Footstrap Plugs – Double inserts at the rear give a more locked in feel with Antitwist washers holding the fort up front.

MFC Footstraps – A new design maintains the boards sleek look. A calibration remains on the inside of the strap to get the perfect fit.

Deck Pad – Dual Density pads offer cushioning and board feel underfoot. A new square pattern is angled in the most optimal way to maximise grip.

Your Delivery

The range of products we offer means there is nothing standard about our deliveries. We use a range of couriers, including DHL, UPS and Royal Mail. For in stock items we aim for delivery in 1-3 days.

On receipt of an order, the relevant specialist staff member will contact you to confirm the stock position and shipping time. This gives you a direct contact for any requests and advice that might be helpful.

When courier services are used, you can expect tracking information and estimated arrival times to be communicated via email. However, always feel free to contact our staff at any point should you require assistance.

Receiving your order

When you receive your item(s), please check to see if there is any damage. Once the drivers manifest has been signed it voids any insurance claim. If you are unsure, please sign as "damaged", which will allow you/us to make a claim later on if required.

If you suspect that your goods are damaged please take the time to check the items with the driver present or refuse the package and ask the courier to return to sender.

Returns

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you might feel the need to arrange a return. If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind, or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase (subject to our product exclusions). The process for both in store and mail order purchases can be seen below:

Postal Returns Procedure

If posting your return please email [email protected] for approval, as well as any advice required prior to sending. You would then simply ship the unwanted goods to our 152 Leeds Road address, including a copy of your original receipt and information on the required course of action.

Purchases from store

If you bought goods from our Heckmondwike based store you may, at our discretion, be able to return items within 30 days for a full refund, as long as they have not been used and still have the original labels attached. Please bring the items back to the shop, together with your receipt. Any refund can only be made using the same method as the original transaction.

Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.

Product Exclusions

There are some exclusions to our Returns Policy, as detailed below:

Personalised or customised items, such as custom canoes, made to measure drysuits etc.
Gift vouchers cannot be returned
Products that have been opened or unsealed cannot be returned
Products returned in an unsatisfactory condition cannot be returned
Products which have been damaged in return transit due to insufficient packaging cannot be returned

This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Who can apply for finance?

You must:

• Spend over £300

• Make a deposit of at least 10%

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Have been a UK resident for 3 years or more

• Be able to make repayments by Direct Debit

• Be in regular employment* (minimum of 16 hours per week) including self-employment, or in a permanent residence with your partner who is in regular employment
