The Union is designed to ride higher on the surface of the water, providing lift, balance and support at slower speeds without sacrificing the nimble feel and natural edge engagement expected from a proper slalom ski.
The result is a smooth, predictable and confidence-building platform that is easy to move on. The Union maintains direction naturally, accelerates efficiently and allows the skier to concentrate on their movement rather than fighting the ski underneath them.
The women's-specific construction is tailored with a lighter composite layup and a fractionally softer flex, making it easier for female skiers to load and exploit the ski's flex characteristics. This works particularly well with the supportive Union shape, creating a ski that encourages rhythm, connection and progression without demanding excessive effort.

Vapor DNA with More Support
The Union is built around a proven Vapor shape, but adds 4/10" of width outside the tunnel. This additional surface area creates more lift and support at slower speeds while retaining the important tunnel and bevel characteristics of the underlying shape.
Rather than simply making the ski wider, Radar has used the additional width to create a platform that rides higher on the water while remaining fast and responsive. The result is a ski that feels nimble and easy to move on without requiring the skier to work unnecessarily hard.
High-Speed Flow Line
Just because the boat is travelling at a more relaxed speed doesn't mean the ski has to feel slow.
The Union uses straight lines through its outline from the wide point towards the tail. By reducing the outside radius, Radar improves water-flow efficiency and reduces drag, allowing the Union to maintain speed and move smoothly from one side of the wakes to the other.
This gives the Union an interesting combination of characteristics: the support needed for slower-speed skiing with the speed and responsiveness expected from a genuine slalom ski.
Women's Specific Construction
The Women's Union uses a female-specific composite construction designed around the requirements of female skiers.
The lighter construction and fractionally softer flex make it easier to load the ski and exploit its flex characteristics. This helps the Union respond naturally to the skier's input rather than requiring excessive force to get the ski working.

Our Advice
The Women's Union sits in an interesting part of the Radar range. It provides considerably more genuine slalom performance than a traditional wide ski, but uses its additional width to retain plenty of lift and support at slower speeds.
For a skier returning to the sport, stepping up from a more basic ski, or simply looking for a platform that doesn't demand maximum effort on every turn, the Union's combination of stability, speed and predictable response makes a lot of sense.
The women's specific construction is an important part of the package. The lighter, fractionally softer composite layup makes the flex easier to exploit, allowing the skier to get a meaningful response without having to overpower the ski.

The range of products we offer means there is nothing standard about our deliveries. We use a range of couriers, including DHL, UPS and Royal Mail. For in stock items we aim for delivery in 1-3 days.
On receipt of an order, the relevant specialist staff member will contact you to confirm the stock position and shipping time. This gives you a direct contact for any requests and advice that might be helpful.
When courier services are used, you can expect tracking information and estimated arrival times to be communicated via email. However, always feel free to contact our staff at any point should you require assistance.

Receiving your order
When you receive your item(s), please check to see if there is any damage. Once the drivers manifest has been signed it voids any insurance claim. If you are unsure, please sign as "damaged", which will allow you/us to make a claim later on if required.
If you suspect that your goods are damaged please take the time to check the items with the driver present or refuse the package and ask the courier to return to sender.

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you might feel the need to arrange a return. If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind, or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase (subject to our product exclusions). The process for both in store and mail order purchases can be seen below:
Postal Returns Procedure
If posting your return please email [email protected] for approval, as well as any advice required prior to sending. You would then simply ship the unwanted goods to our 152 Leeds Road address, including a copy of your original receipt and information on the required course of action.
Purchases from store
If you bought goods from our Heckmondwike based store you may, at our discretion, be able to return items within 30 days for a full refund, as long as they have not been used and still have the original labels attached. Please bring the items back to the shop, together with your receipt. Any refund can only be made using the same method as the original transaction.
Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.
Product Exclusions
There are some exclusions to our Returns Policy, as detailed below:
- Personalised or customised items, such as custom canoes, made to measure drysuits etc.
- Gift vouchers cannot be returned
- Products that have been opened or unsealed cannot be returned
- Products returned in an unsatisfactory condition cannot be returned
- Products which have been damaged in return transit due to insufficient packaging cannot be returned
This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
