The 2027 Radar Union takes proven Vapor DNA and adapts it into a more supportive, approachable slalom ski. Designed around a refined tunnel radius and bevel profile, with additional width outside the tunnel, the Union is built to provide more lift, balance and support when skiing at slower speeds.
For us, the Union is an interesting option for the skier who wants to get back into slalom skiing, or simply wants a ski that makes it easier to enjoy good technique without constantly fighting the equipment. The Union is particularly well suited to skiers who have previously enjoyed slalom skiing but perhaps aren't currently skiing at the speeds or intensity they once did. Its extra width helps the ski ride higher on the water, providing support and stability without making it feel slow or cumbersome.
Despite its forgiving nature, this isn't a traditional wide-body beginner ski. The Union retains the underlying characteristics of Radar's proven Vapor shape, giving it a nimble, connected feel and the ability to accelerate naturally across the water. The result is a ski that encourages progression through comfort, control and consistency.
High-Speed Flow Line
The Union's outline has been carefully designed to maintain efficient water flow, even when the boat is travelling at slower speeds.
Straight lines run from the ski's wide point through towards the tail, avoiding an unnecessary outside radius. This helps reduce drag and improve water-flow efficiency, allowing the Union to move quickly and smoothly from one side of the wakes to the other.
In simple terms, the Union is designed to let you ski at a more comfortable speed without making the ski itself feel slow. You can reduce the workload without losing the responsive, flowing feel you want from a slalom ski.
Vapor DNA, Made More Approachable
The Union's shape is based around the proven geometry of Radar's Vapor, but with additional width outside the tunnel. This provides increased support at slower speeds while retaining the characteristics that make a dedicated slalom ski enjoyable.
That makes the Union a particularly compelling choice for returning skiers, recreational slalom skiers and those looking to progress without stepping onto a demanding competition-focused platform.

The Union is available in four sizes, with skier weight providing the starting point for choosing the correct ski. Your skiing ability and preferred boat speed are also important considerations, particularly if you're returning to the sport or moving from a different style of ski.

Our Advice
The Union sits in an interesting position within the Radar range. It's more performance-focused than a dedicated easy-start ski such as the Session, but its additional width and supportive shape make it considerably more approachable than a demanding competition slalom ski.
For a skier returning to slalom after some time away, or someone who wants to improve their skiing without having to increase boat speed or physical effort, the Union makes a lot of sense. It is designed to help you reconnect with the water and build consistency, rather than punishing you for not skiing at full competition pace.
As with any slalom ski, we'd recommend choosing based on more than weight alone. Your skiing ability, boat speed, previous ski and what you're hoping to achieve all matter. Your Delivery
The range of products we offer means there is nothing standard about our deliveries. We use a range of couriers, including DHL, UPS and Royal Mail. For in stock items we aim for delivery in 1-3 days.
On receipt of an order, the relevant specialist staff member will contact you to confirm the stock position and shipping time. This gives you a direct contact for any requests and advice that might be helpful.
When courier services are used, you can expect tracking information and estimated arrival times to be communicated via email. However, always feel free to contact our staff at any point should you require assistance.

Receiving your order
When you receive your item(s), please check to see if there is any damage. Once the drivers manifest has been signed it voids any insurance claim. If you are unsure, please sign as "damaged", which will allow you/us to make a claim later on if required.
If you suspect that your goods are damaged please take the time to check the items with the driver present or refuse the package and ask the courier to return to sender.

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you might feel the need to arrange a return. If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind, or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase (subject to our product exclusions). The process for both in store and mail order purchases can be seen below:
Postal Returns Procedure
If posting your return please email [email protected] for approval, as well as any advice required prior to sending. You would then simply ship the unwanted goods to our 152 Leeds Road address, including a copy of your original receipt and information on the required course of action.
Purchases from store
If you bought goods from our Heckmondwike based store you may, at our discretion, be able to return items within 30 days for a full refund, as long as they have not been used and still have the original labels attached. Please bring the items back to the shop, together with your receipt. Any refund can only be made using the same method as the original transaction.
Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.
Product Exclusions
There are some exclusions to our Returns Policy, as detailed below:
- Personalised or customised items, such as custom canoes, made to measure drysuits etc.
- Gift vouchers cannot be returned
- Products that have been opened or unsealed cannot be returned
- Products returned in an unsatisfactory condition cannot be returned
- Products which have been damaged in return transit due to insufficient packaging cannot be returned
This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights.
