2027 Radar Lyric Graphite Women's Slalom Waterski

Built to move with you. The 2027 Radar Lyric Graphite is a women's-specific slalom ski built around Radar's proven Senate platform, combining a supportive performance shape with a lighter carbon construction and polyurethane Aero Core.

The Lyric uses the same fundamental shape philosophy as the Senate. Radar starts with the Vapor shape and adds 2/10" of width between the tunnel and edge bevel. This creates additional lift and support at slower speeds while retaining the active wet surface that gives the Vapor its characteristic ability to roll, grip and turn.

The result is a ski that feels stable and predictable without becoming sluggish. It rolls naturally into the turn, maintains direction through the finish and carries speed across the wakes with a smooth, connected feel.

The Graphite construction combines a polyurethane Aero Core with carbon fiber laminates to create a lightweight and efficient platform. Alongside the female-specific layup, this gives the Lyric Graphite a composed response that rewards commitment while requiring less effort to get the ski working.

The women's-specific construction is designed with a lighter and fractionally softer carbon layup than the equivalent Senate construction. At around 15% softer, the Lyric requires less input to roll into the turn and establish angle across the wakes, making the flex easier to exploit.

Built on the Senate Platform

The Lyric sits within Radar's Senate Series, using a shape that has become particularly well regarded for its ability to combine performance with accessibility.

Radar starts with the Vapor shape and adds 2/10" of width between the tunnel and edge bevel. Rather than simply scaling the whole ski wider, this approach keeps the active wet surface closely related to the Vapor.

This means the Lyric retains the ability to roll naturally onto edge and grip through the turn, while the additional surface area provides useful lift and support at slightly slower boat speeds.

Performance Width

The additional width is an important part of the Lyric's performance characteristics.

By adding surface area between the tunnel and bevel, Radar creates additional lift and support without compromising the ski's active wet surface. This helps the Lyric ride higher and remain efficient at slower speeds while retaining the roll, grip and drive needed for performance slalom skiing.

The result is a ski that can be moved easily into the turn while still providing the speed and direction needed to carry momentum across the course.

Women's Specific Construction

The Lyric Graphite uses a female-specific composite layup designed to make the ski's flex easier to exploit.

At approximately 15% softer than its Senate counterpart, the lighter carbon layup requires less input to roll the ski into the turn and establish angle across the wakes. This allows the skier to load the ski naturally and benefit from its response without needing to overpower it.

This construction works particularly well with the Senate-derived shape, creating a platform that combines support with smooth, progressive performance.

Aero Core

The Graphite version uses Radar's polyurethane Aero Core, designed to provide a forgiving and consistent response.

The Aero Core contributes to the Lyric Graphite's calm, composed character, helping it maintain a predictable feel through changing conditions while still providing the response required from a performance-oriented slalom ski.

The Lyric Graphite is available in three sizes. Radar's recommended weight ranges provide a useful starting point when choosing your ski, although boat speed, skiing ability and personal preference should also be considered.

The Lyric Graphite is an excellent example of how Radar has approached its women's specific range: rather than simply scaling down a men's ski, the construction has been tuned to make the performance characteristics easier to access.

The Senate-derived shape gives the Lyric genuine slalom characteristics, with natural roll, grip and drive through the turn. The additional width provides support at slower speeds, while the lighter, softer layup makes it easier to load the ski and establish angle.
