Lib Tech Cold Brew Directional All Mountain Snowboard

The Lib Tech Cold Brew is a versatile directional all-mountain snowboard designed around a simple idea: make a board that is easy to ride, performs brilliantly across the mountain and remains fun from first lift to last run.

With a freeride-focused shape, floaty directional nose and updated tail, the Cold Brew is particularly well suited to riders who enjoy exploring the whole mountain rather than spending every run in one particular zone. It carves confidently on the piste, floats through powder and crud, and still has enough freestyle character to keep things playful.

The directional shape also helps reduce fatigue. The nose naturally provides additional float in softer snow, allowing you to stay balanced and relaxed rather than constantly working to keep the front of the board up. That makes the Cold Brew a particularly appealing choice for long days at your local mountain, as well as those bigger trips where you want one board that can handle whatever the weather throws at you.

Freeride Focused, Freestyle Ready

The Cold Brew is directional, with a slightly longer and wider nose than tail and a 3.8 cm setback. That gives it a natural bias towards freeride performance and float while retaining enough versatility to make it an enjoyable everyday resort board.

The near mid-wide widths are another useful part of the design. They provide additional surface area for improved float while helping reduce the likelihood of toe and heel drag when carving hard. It is a particularly useful combination for riders who want to lay into turns without needing a huge specialist powder board.

The updated tail shape also adds to the board's versatility, giving the Cold Brew a more refined platform for carving, riding variable snow and getting playful with the terrain.

C2 Banana Technology

The Cold Brew uses Lib Tech's C2 Banana Technology, the original award-winning rocker/camber hybrid contour engineered specifically for snowboarding.

The central rocker section helps provide carve, edge hold and float, while the cambered sections add pop, stability and control. Combined with the directional shape, this creates a board that feels relatively easy and forgiving while still offering plenty of control when you start riding harder.

For an all-mountain board, that balance is important. The Cold Brew doesn't need to be constantly driven to be enjoyable, but there is plenty of performance there when you want to increase the pace.

Magne-Traction®

Seven strategically positioned serrations along the edge provide Magne-Traction, giving the Cold Brew excellent edge hold across a wide variety of snow conditions.

That additional grip is particularly valuable when carving on firm pistes, while the combination of serrated edges and C2 rocker helps maintain control when the snow becomes uneven, scraped off or variable.

For UK riding, where perfectly groomed snow isn't always guaranteed, Magne-Traction is one of those technologies that can make a noticeable difference to confidence.

Original Power Construction

The Cold Brew uses Original Power Construction (OP+), featuring an extended 60% Aspen / 40% Paulownia core combined with Tri-Ax / Bi-Ax fibreglass.

The construction is designed to be light, strong and environmentally more considered, while Birch internal sidewalls, UHMW sintered sidewalls and UHMW tip and tail impact deflection add durability.

The Eco Sublimated TNT base is fast and low maintenance, making the Cold Brew particularly well suited to everyday riding. You get the speed and performance you want without a base that demands constant attention.

Our Verdict

The Cold Brew is the sort of snowboard that makes a lot of sense for riders who want one board to do almost everything. It has a clear freeride bias, but it isn't a specialist powder board that spends most of its life waiting for the next big dump of snow.

Instead, the directional shape, C2 profile and mid-wide dimensions give it a wonderfully useful combination of float, carving ability and easy-going performance. It should feel equally at home cruising your local piste, carving hard turns, hunting out fresh snow or getting playful with natural terrain.

We also like the fact that the Cold Brew isn't overly aggressive. With flex ranging from 5/10 to 7/10 depending on size, it offers a more accessible ride than some of the harder-charging boards in the Lib Tech range, while the larger sizes still have plenty of support for riders who like to ride fast.

If you're looking for a versatile, easy-riding performance snowboard that can handle everyday resort riding as well as a dream trip into better snow, the Cold Brew is a very compelling choice. Put simply, it is a board designed to make the entire mountain more enjoyable.
