The Capita D.O.A. has become one of the most recognisable snowboards in modern snowboarding for good reason. Tried, tested and backed by an impressive collection of industry awards, the D.O.A. combines a playful personality with enough performance to keep experienced riders entertained.

The result is a board that feels equally at home cruising the resort, hitting side hits, working on your jumps or spending the day in the park.

The D.O.A. uses a true twin shape and 5.5/10 twin flex, making it naturally balanced and predictable when riding both regular and switch. It's an excellent choice for riders who want one board that can handle a broad range of resort riding without becoming overly specialised.

Resort V1 Camber + Flat Kick

The D.O.A.'s Resort V1 Profile combines elements of traditional camber, zero camber and reverse camber to create a profile that's designed to offer the best of several worlds.

You get the pop and response associated with camber, while the flatter sections help make turn initiation predictable and approachable. The result is a board that's lively when you want to load it up, but remains relatively easy to ride when you're simply cruising around the mountain.

The Flat Kick Technology at the tips further contributes to the D.O.A.'s playful character.

Built for Pop

At the heart of the D.O.A. is CAPiTA's P2 Superlight™ Core, a lightweight and versatile core designed to combine high impact resistance with plenty of pop.

The core is paired with Hybrid Carbon HolySheet™ construction, where carbon additives are interwoven directly into the fibreglass. This helps create a lightweight construction with enhanced precision and response.

The result is a board that feels energetic beneath your feet without becoming unnecessarily heavy.

Fast, Durable Base

The Quantum Drive™ Base is a high-density sintered running base designed for speed, durability and excellent wax retention.

As with any sintered base, regular waxing is rewarded with a fast, smooth ride, making the D.O.A. well suited to riders who want performance that can keep up when they're pushing their riding.

Why We Like the D.O.A.

The D.O.A.'s biggest strength is arguably its versatility. It isn't trying to be the best board for one very specific type of snowboarding. Instead, it gives you a lively and engaging platform that can handle a bit of everything.

It's playful enough to make cruising the resort fun, has the pop needed for jumps and side hits, and is more than capable of spending a day in the park. For a rider looking for one board to progress on and enjoy across the majority of their resort riding, it's a very difficult package to overlook.

The D.O.A. has also been around long enough to earn a reputation rather than simply relying on marketing hype. It's a genuinely tried-and-tested, award-winning snowboard that has become a benchmark in its category.

Receiving your order

When you receive your item(s), please check to see if there is any damage.  Once the drivers manifest has been signed it voids any insurance claim. If you are unsure, please sign as "damaged", which will allow you/us to make a claim later on if required.

If you suspect that your goods are damaged please take the time to check the items with the driver present or refuse the package and ask the courier to return to sender.

If you have any further questions regarding delivery please contact us.

Sometimes things don’t go to plan and you might feel the need to arrange a return.  If you receive an order and find you have changed your mind, or the item just isn’t right for you, don’t worry. Goods can be returned for a refund within 30 days from the date of purchase (subject to our product exclusions). The process for both in store and mail order purchases can be seen below:

Postal Returns Procedure

If posting your return please email [email protected] for approval, as well as any advice required prior to sending.  You would then simply ship the unwanted goods to our 152 Leeds Road address, including a copy of your original receipt and information on the required course of action.

Purchases from store

If you bought goods from our Heckmondwike based store you may, at our discretion, be able to return items within 30 days for a full refund, as long as they have not been used and still have the original labels attached. Please bring the items back to the shop, together with your receipt. Any refund can only be made using the same method as the original transaction.

Goods must be returned in an unused, re-saleable condition, with their original packaging, and all labels still attached. They should also be securely packaged to ensure the contents are protected during transit. Our Returns Team will review all items to ensure they meet the criteria outlined in this policy. If an item is returned outside of our Returns Policy, we may be unable to process a full refund. We will contact you in such circumstances.

We hope that your next purchase from our store will be a long term one, so why not make use of our 0% APR finance offer.  The scheme is run through V12 and our experience, as well as that of our customers, has been excellent.

The 0% APR finance option allows you to spread the cost of your purchase over 6 or 10 months.  Given the bespoke nature of each application we prefer to discuss this with you, rather than automating the process online.  As such, once your basket is finalised and you are ready to apply please get in touch using [email protected], or by phone on 01924 444888.

We will confirm the availability and price of your order, then emailing a link to your custom application forms. Once completed, V12 notify our staff and you will then be contacted to settle the deposit and arrange a convenient delivery date.
