The PADI Open Water Diver is the entry level course and your first step on the diver training program. The course breaks down into 3 main parts; theory, confined sessions (pool work) and open water dives.
The new digital learning program means you can do all the theory at home at your own pace, in the comfort of your favourite arm chair. Once you have completed all the necessary theory sessions you will spend the evening with an Instructor going over any Q&A’s you may have and complete your final exam.
The confined session then introduces you to all the equipment and in water skills you are required to complete. The pool sessions are conducted in our onsite heated swimming pool, to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your first SCUBA experience.
Upon completion of the theory and the confined water sessions you are ready for your open water dives. During these dives you will repeat skills learnt during your confined water sessions in the open water, combined with a short fun dive helping build your confidence in the water. Upon completion of the open water dives you will receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18m.
All our courses are taught using drysuits to assure you are as comfortable as possible during your Open Water Dives. Upon completion of your Open Water Course you have the option of completing an extra dive on the Sunday to receive your Drysuit Speciality certification.
