Diagnostics

The Aladin Air
Z O2 switches on automatically and runs a self-diagnostic
check as soon as it's immersed in water.
|
While
this feature-packed model is ideal for divers who want
to experience all levels of diving, its use is solely
recommended for divers specially qualified to dive with
Nitrox.
Oxygen
Toxicity

The screen demonstrates
the oxygen toxicity warning given when breathing nitrox
in open circuit scuba mode. The Air Z O2 warns
the diver with an audible alarm and a flashing 100%,
flashing 100% and a flashing O2 symbol.
|
Pre-dive
Flexibility

For
open-circuit scuba with Nitrox gas mixtures, it is possible
to manually select the gas mixture prior to the dive.
In this example, 36% has been selected.

|
Oxygen
Fraction of the Inspired Gas Mixture

When used with
an inline SCR oxygen sensor, the Aladin Air Z O2
displays the actual fraction of the gas in the SCR breathing
loop. Should this fall below 19%, the Aladin Air Z O2
warns the diver with an acoustic alarm and a flashing
O2 symbol.

Remaining
Bottom Time

When used in
open-circuit scuba mode with a pressure transmitter,
the Aladin Air Z O2 will indicate the remaining
bottom time (in this case 21 minutes) and the current
tank pressure (105 bar).
