 | Scrub Photon
The Scrub Photon is the replacement for the top seller Demios and the Lion Canyon Before it. It follows on the tradition of Scrub products being excellent quality and performance. There is a 85cm 9 ply maple deck with new graphics top and bottom and rubber grip tape. Along with Scrub lightweight wheels and 8inch diamond tyres make this board a light board for junior riders and adult kite flyers. The board now comes with new 12mm axle skateboard trucks so fits a standard 6001 larger bearing. The other new feature of this board is the new scrub velcro bindings which offer a much more comfortable connection to the board. For downhill riding we recommend this board for ideally junior riders under 14 years as the stance and length is narrow. Older/Taller riders do not find it comfortable or stable. For kite flying it is good for riders of all ages as a starter board.

With an overall board weight of just 6.0 kg and a short 90cm composite construction deck, the Scrub Vapour Mountain board is a superb dual purpose board, ideally suited as a lightweight freestyle mountain board or as a durable, high performance kite board for using with a power kite. Upgraded for 2007, the Scrub Vapour Mountain Board features the new Scrub hollow 12mm axle diameter skate style mountain board trucks (instead of the previous 10mm), and is fitted with more durable 12mm channel truck style mountain board bearings. The use of a 12mm axle offers increased strength resulting in a board that is stronger whilst still retaining the light weight benefits of a skate style mountain board truck assembly. The steering resistance of the board can be tuned by adjusting the kingpin bolt located underneath the truck allowing the rider to customise the response of the board to suit body weight and riding style. Tightening the kingpin by turning it clockwise will preload the urethane bushing and will increase the steering resistance, whilst loosening the kingpin by turning it anti clockwise will decrease the steering resistance to give a more direct steering response.

The Scrub Board Bag is a great addition to any boarder whatever board you ride. It is a top quality padded back that opens one side right off to allow the board to fit in easily. The inside has a number of pockets to fit spares and other small items. The bag has handles to carry it about and also straps so you can put it on your back. It locks the board inside so it can't roll about and folds down to the size of a backpack if you want to ride with it etc.
