Uncompromising performance When we started designing the 2008 Goya Wave 3D Sail our main focus was improving the strength and reducing the weight. We created a very manoeuvrable sail with more low end power and high end control. What seemed a contradiction in the past has become reality with this year's model. In all our sails we are using full panel XPly. This is for 2 reasons. The first one being that by allowing the full panel to flex we add more dynamics to the sail. Hence our sails are more powerful and forgiving. The second one being that we avoid having stitching through the sail's main surfaces and thus are not adding more tiny holes into the sail than necessary. Hence our sails last a lt longer. The math is easy, if you only use a third of the parts to make a sail, only a third can break. We are amazed at the feedback we get from customers, shops and schools around the world about just how little they spend on sail repair, once they switched to Goya Sails. The 2008 W3D features a hollow leach, which means that we were able to reduce the areas that have the most effect on the feeling and handling of tha sail. We distributed more of the surface around the foot batten and at the top, resulting in more low end power and creating that twisty hollow leach. Consequently this sail feels even lighter than its predecessors. The mast sleeve features a white print on black cloth. This print closes the cloth fibers, to make the sleeve stronger at the tearing points. It makes the sleeve water repellant and keeps the mast cooler. By not simply using a white sleeve cloth, you can just wipe any dirt from this print. The sail also features a new thermoform foot protector with nylon covering, making it more resistant to the antislip coating of your board. Our battens are CNC produced and controlled, ensuring the perfect match of their shape with their position in the sail. We kept the Graphics to a minimum because we believe in blending with the environment and in "less but better".

Speed combined with fun A versatile, accelerating sail without cams, designed for those who windsurf mainly on flat water, but still want to maneuver around the waves when the opportunity arises. Designed to provide very early planing with balance and control. Constructed entirely with ful panels of X-ply and the same lay up construction we use on our wave sails. You will also find a larger choice of increments from one size to the next, with 0.5 sq meters of difference between sizes.
