Fanatic Freewing Rig 5.5 - Made by North Sails, the Fanatic Free rig is a very good quality sail. The sail is lightweight with wide application of use. A balanced shape and very low centre of power, it's a perfect choice for entry level riders. It boosts your ability and helps you learn to steadily progress. More than this the rig is very tunable, with surprisingly good twist (see picture opposite) resulting in excellent stability and high wind performance. It's not the kind of rig you will be trading in as soon as you get on the plane. We were very impressed over the course of last season, the rig was excellent quality. A clever mix of materials and the new RIPSTOP.FRAME.DESIGN permit the use of extra lightweight monofilm without compromising durability. Incredibly easy handling.The resulting weight reduction is substantial enough that women and juniors in particular love the easy handling of these sails.
