Hyperlite Marek - Bio 3 Core - Enduro Base (2012) Designing a new shape to carry the Marek name was a process that took months of development. After many prototypes were shaped and all of the testing was done, Rusty could not be happier with the end result. Beginning with the overall volume of the board, now reduced by 15%, the Marek is lighter than the original generation. Maintaining a responsive edge and speed into the wake was key in the new design. The Abrupt Continuous rocker line produces great pop off the wake while allowing the board to maintain the quick feel it has been famous for. The next generation Marek features slightly mellower base features resulting in a quicker release off the wake, allowing a rider to initiate a trick sooner. Hyperlite Process - Bio 3 Core - Enduro Base (2012) Finding the perfect balance between a board that rides great at the cable and equally as well behind the boat was the goal of the new Process series. Designed specifically for one of the most progressive cable riders in the world, Nick Davies, the Process combines subtle cable specific features with a responsive and explosive shape. This series features new multi-teared base channels that create unmatched edge hold and speed into the wake. The four removable P-Wings fins, all set at a 9 degree angle, allow the board to initiate extremely responsive edge transitions. Slightly rolled edges between the feet and at the tip and tail are strategically placed for durability and feel while on rail, but are not so exaggerated that they affect the performance of the board in any way. Hyperlite Union - Crossover Flex Core - Sintered Base (2012) The Union series is the culmination of years of development and the combination of our most advanced materials and construction methods. Inspired by our team, the Union series blends the functionally of a traditional wakeboard with the flex and feel of a thinner park board. Our new Crossover Core combines both Nova and E-Core materials to produce a lightweight feel with maximum durability. The 360-degree ABS sidewall construction provides superior impact protection while the Sintered Enduro base offers our most durable running surface to date. The Union shape itself is designed around a continuous rocker line which provides great pop and maintains speed into the wake. The subtle base features allow this series to generate edge hold but also provides solid contact on rails. Hyperlite Franchise - Bio 3 Core - Enduro Base (2012) Jimmy LaRiche has developed his first Pro Model for Hyperlite, the Franchise! The name of the board touches on Jim's importance to the Hyperlite team but it also represents his philosophy about the shape. The goal was to create a long lasting, innovative shape that everyone can hop on and in one ride feel as if they are home. A continuous rocker of 2.65" lays the foundation for a fast board that carves and edges with ease. The Franchise rocker is largest continuous rocker in the Hyperlite line providing maximum pop off the wake. The innovative and industry first Tapered Channels narrow at the tip and tail aligning the Dual Fin Configuration to increase the boards edge hold on approach to the wake. With any approach style, the Franchise will deliver a pop off the wake like no other. The overall profile of the board and reduced tip and tail profile reduce swing weight for simple rotation on flat and inverted spins. Hyperlite B-Side - Bio 3 Core - Nylon Base, ABS Fins (2012) The B-Side series design begins at the rocker line, which is set at a 2.6 inch Blended 3 Stage. The B-Side carries more speed into the wake than ever before. This series also features a shallower, ABS polymer molded-in fin that ends nearly an inch from the tip of the board for a buttery smooth release off the wake and maximum durability on sliders. The elevated footbed reinforces the fore body of the deck to maintain a solid rocker line off the wake, but also allows for a thinned out tip and tail creating minimum swing weight and great control on rails. Hyperlite Clash - Bio 3 Core - Enduro Base (2012) The Clash series may look familiar at first glance and if you ask Rusty he will tell you why. The Clash is built out of the mold of his original 1080 stomping shape. It is built to be a fast and responsive ride. With four 9 degree angled fins set just inside a two-stage channel, the Clash initiates an edge with little effort. The tip-to-tail step-down rail assures solid edge holds all the way through the wake. Hyperlite Tribute (2012) The Tribute is a shape designed for the true freeride experience. Built off of a 2.55" continuous rocker line it carries awesome speed into the wake and all the pop you need.
